Where do the rates come from?
From CurrencyAPI. Our server refreshes them every 15 minutes, and the app shows when they were last updated.
Why is my bank or card's rate different?
AwayRate shows reference market rates. Banks, cards and exchange counters add fees or a margin, so expect to pay a little more.
Does it work offline?
Yes. It uses the last rates it downloaded and shows how old they are. If they're more than a few days old, it says so.
It says "Rates unavailable".
The app needs the internet once to download its first rates. Connect, then pull down to refresh.
A currency is missing.
AwayRate shows every currency our rate provider covers. Email us if you need one that isn't there.
